DANNEMANN AND SALVADOR

Salvador is one of the most beautiful cities in Brazil. It offers numerous attractions for all tastes: sandy beaches and natural beauty, historical sites referring to the early colonial Brazil, music, typical bahian cuisine, religion, and capoeira…besides having the largest carnival in the world. Impossible to think of Salvador and not imme- diately remember sights like the Lacerda Ele- vator, the lighthouse ‘Farol da Barra’, Market ‘Modelo’, the ‘Pelourinho’ quarter and the Church Senhor do Bonfim.

Day 1 Departure towards the city of São Felix. The road that gives access to São Félix passes through Cachoeira and crosses the D. Pedro II bridge, which, with 365 meters, is one of the longest iron bridges in Brazil. In São Félix we will pay a visit to the Dannemann center, where the best national cigar is made. We will observe the wonderful skills of cigars when manually rolling longfiller cigars. They invite the visitor to try the product, roll up their own cigar and take the result home. We will go to the tobacco plantation on the Santo Antônio farm, where we will monitor the work of the employees while they sow, harvest, dry and ferment the tobacco. Lunch at Fazenda Santa Cruz. Discover the reforestation project “Adopt a tree” and plant your own tree in the Atlantic Forest, at Fazenda Santo Antônio do Retiro. Overnight at Pousada do Convento.
