The City
The charming small city of Itacaré – located in the middle of the southern coastline of Bahia – has a unique geological formation in northeast Brazil. It’s the meeting point between palm trees, mangrove trees, crystal clear water on white sandy beaches, rivers, waterfalls and trails. The people of the village are spontaneous, friendly and always welcoming. We’ll visit the urban beaches (Concha, Resende, Costa, Ribeira and Tiririca). After enjoying the beach we’ll stroll through the city center and its small shops to end up the day. We’ll finish the excursion with a stop at the viewpoint of Serra Grande, a marvelous place, unforgettable for its photogenic scenery.
BEACH TREKKING
We’ll trek a natural trail visiting four wild dreamy beaches in the middle of the Atlantic Rain Forest. The adventure will start in Havaízinho, a beach with a unique enchantment where you’ll discover a tropical Eden. We’ll continue for approximately 30 minutes to reach the beach of Engenhoca – a surfer’s paradise with its constant perfect waves. The emerald green of the sea blends in with the wild and exuberant vegetation. We’ll continue and get to Camboinha, where a small cascade of fresh water comes out of the forest, refreshing and renewing energies on hot sunny days. The next beach is Itacarézinho, an open and comfortable beach, the only one with a restaurant and cabana.
TIJUIPE WATERFALL
On the way to Itacaré we have the option to stop at the beautiful waterfall of Tijuipe. We’ll take a short and easy trail with beautiful landscapes to the waterfall, which belongs to the fazenda do Carioca. The waterfall is great to bathe and swim, with many natural pools and cascades. The presence of a lifeguard makes it a safe adventure. There is also a restaurant surrounded by a great variety of plants and flowers from the rain forest. We’ll finish the excursion with a stop at the viewpoint of Serra Grande, a marvelous place to take unforgettable pictures.
